“LOVED this book! Candace's easy to follow recipes put cake baking back on the schedule every day of the week. -- Abigail Johnson Dodge, baker, instructor & James Beard nominated and IACP winning cookbook author

Little Cakes to the Rescue!

Ask most any home cook, and you’ll find they are more of a pie or cookie baker than a cake baker. Why? The problem with baking a cake is there’s just too much of it. Unless you’re feeding an army, you’re left with more cake than you’ll ever eat.  And there’s something sad about the fate of leftover cake…Enter Little Everyday Cakes from Candace Floyd. These little cakes are perfectly sized, easy-to-make treats that can be polished off in one sitting so leftovers don’t linger. With mouthwatering photos of each cake to inspire you, easy-to-follow recipes to guide you, and lovely icings and toppings to add flavorful flair, Little Everyday Cakes will be the baking cookbook you’ll pull from your shelf over and over again—because every day deserves a little treat!

Candace Floyd has worked in the food magazine and cookbook field for more than 13 years. As former managing editor of Relish magazine (the food magazine with the largest circulation in the U.S.) and food editor of American Profile magazine, she worked with hundreds of food writers to develop stories about food trends, farmers and growers, chefs and restaurants, new ingredients, and curated recipe submissions from readers. She co-edited five cookbooks produced by Relish, as well as American Profile: American Profile’s Hometown Cookbook, Hometown Get-Togethers, Hometown Recipes for the Holidays, The Best of Relish, and Seasons and Celebrations. She most often can be found in her Nashville kitchen testing new recipes, or in her garden growing herbs and perennials.
